Brief Brand History for Corum:
Corum is a relative new comer to the Swiss Watch industry – it was founded in 1956 by Gaston Ries and Rene Bannwart(a designer from Omega). From the beginning, Corum set out to only produce watches that were both unusual and extravagant. The company was sold to Severin Wunderman(the man who built the Gucci watch business to enormous size and then sold it back to Gucci)in the year 2000. Corum continues to set itself apart from other companies with it’s ability to make odd and unusual creations.
Product Line Overview:
The 1980's saw Corum enjoying significant market share in the United States and Japan. The “Admiral's Cup”, "Coin Watches" and the "Romulus" line gained Corum notoriety. Corum's "Golden Bridge" is totally unique in the world of watches. Corum continues to do very well with the “Bubble” series with all it’s limited edition pieces. Most numbered and with fantastic packaging. Currently, the “Classical” line with its off-center spheres is doing great for Corum.

Corum watches on the internet sell at 35% to 40% below suggested retails. Some new and limited pieces sell at 20% to 30% off. There is very limited demand for preowned Corum.
