For the time being the 1980s and the 1990s Ebel was the fastest growing watch brand in Switzerland. The company was sold to Luxury giant Louis Vuitton, Moet, Hennesy in 2000 and in 2006 sold again to the Movado Group(Movado, Concord and Esquire).
