Girard Perregaux Sport 7000

Girard Perregauxs more than two hundred years watchmaking history can be traced back to Jean-Francois Bautte who built his own manufacture in 1791. Years later, a merger and a marriage gave birth to Girard-Perregaux in 1856. Although highly successful, the company like most watch firms at the time, went through some tumultuous events and was at near collapse by the 1980s. A miracle saved it in the person of Gino Macaluso and his design: the Girard Perregaux 7000. Now known as the Girard Perregaux Sport 7000, it is an automatic chronograph with date on a steel, 18k gold, or two-tone case. Luminous markers on its dial indicates hours, minutes, and small seconds. The Girard Perregaux Sport 7000 measures 38mm x 12mm and guarantees water resistance of up to 50m. Like its manufacturer, the Girard Perregaux Sport 7000 is meant to serve its owner for a long time.
