Patek Philippe Rattrapante

Patek Philippe had always been synonymous to excellent workmanship and flawless mechanical expertise so it is hardly a surprise that their watches enjoy the Seal of Geneva. Launching its first Rattrapante in 1922, the Patek Philippe Rattrapante collection now comes with a perpetual calendar and include models belonging to the Grand Complication series such as the Ref. 5951P - the split-seconds monopusher chronograph, the stainless steel Ref. 5950A and the Ref.5004P. Unlike the regular chronograph function, the rattrapante (or split-second) complication allows for the timing of more than one event. It has 2 hands to measure the intervals where the first push makes both hands run, the second push stops one hand while the other continues moving, and the third push makes the stopped hand catch up with the moving hand. The dial of a Patek Philippe Rattrapante may look condensed but still amazingly legible, showing hours and minutes functions along with the rattrapante chronograph, 60-min counter, seconds sub dial, perpetual calendar with day, month, leap year, and AM/PM indication in apertures, analog date, and moon phase. Powered by manual winding movement, each Patek Philippe Rattrapante is the result of traditional and modern influences.
