In 1997, Federico Massacesi, a designer for fashion house Salvatore Ferragamo attempted to save Florentine watchmaking tradition after a major watch manufacture moved production elsewhere. With the help of age-old techniques that dates back over a hundred years, the release of Anonimo Militare collection in 2001 proved the effort a resounding success. These watches are built from steel or PVD steel and are equipped with the patented Crown Vanishing Locking Device, ensuring water tightness from 10-12ATM. The exhibition caseback of the Anonimo Militare also reveals the mechanical movement whilst the dial boasts of peerless legibility thanks to Super-LumiNova? treated hands and markers. Featuring hours, minutes, seconds, date and chronograph functions, the Anonimo Militare ranges in diameter from 42mm-45.5mm and is fitted with either rubber or Kodiak leather straps.
