The storied journey of Leon Breitling and his workshop begun in Saint-Imier, Bernese Jura in 1884. Their expertise in high precision timekeeping instruments earned them the prestige of being official supplier to AOPA as well as the admiration of the entire aviation industry. The history of the Breitling Navitimer is just as notable. Introduced in 1952, it has enjoyed continuous production for the most part of the last century. Encased in steel or rose gold, it features a slide rule function operated by a fluted, bidirectional bezel. Dimension of the Breitling Navitimer usually ranges from 40mm to 49mm with a busy but legible dial for functions as varied as a chronograph, stopwatch, flyback, GMT, moonphase and day/date. Timeless in both form and function, the Breitling Navitimer has a mechanical movement with a minimum energy reserve of about 70 hours.
