A true divers watch, it started off with a water resistance of 100m and went on to withstand up to 300m with the addition of the patented triplock winding crown. A Rolex Submariners 40mm case houses an automatic movement and presents several variants in 18k gold or stainless steel with a few models boasting of diamonds and MOP dial for that extra opulence. The dial sports luminous hour markers and "cathedral" hands and displays time as well as date depending on the model.
