F.P Journe built his first tourbillon at a young age of 20, a feat foretelling of greater things to come since he founded his own company in 1999. Launching the Souveraine line the same year with the FP Journe Tourbillon Souverain Remontoir, it established itself as a force to reckon with among horological geniuses. The simple 40mm platinum or 18k rose gold case lets the sensational features take center stage, beginning with the tourbillon, the "second morte", and the power reserve indicator. These complications work in harmony with the off-centered watch dial. Incorporated with a constant force escapement, the FP Journe Tourbillon Souverain Remontoir has a manual winding mechanical movement ensuring a power reserve of 42hrs. From the design to the actual performance, the FP Journe Tourbillon Souverain Remontoir speaks of the brands integrity which is likewise affirmed by the prestigious horological awards it has won over the years. The FP Journe Tourbillon Soverain Remontoir on its own has won the �Aiguille d�Or�in 2004, the highest prize awarded in the Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix. It was also awarded the Grand Prix - Mens Model Watch of the Year 2004 a few months later in Japan by the World Photo Press.
