Founded by Louis-Francois Cartier in 1847, Cartier has become a global name for luxury jewelries and timepieces. Inspired by the strength and
symmetry of the Renault tanks during WWI, he designed the first Tank model in 1917. This spawned an entire collection which is to become one of the most recognizable and sought-after models. The Cartier Tank Vermeil is one such incarnation. As the name suggests, it is crafted from a combination of gold and sterling silver and measures between 20mm to 26mm. A handwound or quartz movement is available which is housed inside the Cartier Tank Vermeils simple rectangular case. It also features a beautiful blue cabochon crown similar to other Tank models. The time indication is pretty straightforward with only hour and minute hands on a plain or tri-colored dial. With or without painted Roman numerals, the Cartier Tank Vermeil is a timeless classic.
