Cartier Crash

Founded in 1847, Cartier had been an advocate of classic aesthetic while also promoting innovative ideas. One such ingenious concept is the Cartier Tank Crash collection. Now there have been several versions of how it came to be - from a mangled wristwatch salvaged from a wreckage to an executive stumbling into one of Cartiers repair shop with the "crashed" watch after surviving a car crash. Looking at its 18k rose, yellow, or white gold "melted" case however, the Cartier Tank Crash was most probably inspired by Salvador Dalis "The Persistence of Memory" painting. Measuring about 39mm in length, it is powered by a manual wind mechanical movement and displays the hours and minutes. It is also available in a 45mm skeletonized version in platinum. Bejewelled or not, the Cartier Tank Crash is a well-executed watch thats bound to be the center of animated conversations.
