Driven by creativity and the desire to set the brand apart, founder Gaston Ries and his designer nephew Rene Bannwart made quite an impression in the horological scene when they started producing coin watches out of $20 gold pieces. In a similar quest for distinction, the company launched the Corum Swiss Ingot collection.
